TEDx veteran and leadership development expert Matt Confer joins me to share from his experience building teams and developing top performing employees with several of the US most respected professional services leaders. He’s also the host of the top leadership development podcast, “Learn to Lead” where he shares stories and teaches techniques for leadership skills. Matt discusses examples from his hands-on management career and his experience with a management decision simulator! You’ll hear him discuss techniques for building trust with your teams.
I’ve invited Matt to the ManagerMirror because he’s transitioned his financial expertise and hands-on team building experience into successfully consulting other corporate executives on skills needed to develop staff while delivering on key strategic initiatives. Matt started his career as an individual contributor with Deloitte where he ascended to manager level overseeing multiple consulting relationships and a variety of teams over 7+ years. After Deloitte, Matt managed the Austin team of professional services firm Robert Half Management Resources before moving to financial technology company Kasasa. A little over three years ago he moved into his current role as the Vice President of Strategy with Abilitie, a leadership development company based in Austin Texas. Matt hosts the “Learn to Lead” podcast in support of developing tactical skills needed to become a strong people leader in today’s corporate landscape. Throughout his career, Matt has consulted with executives inside top US employers and he’s here to share his insight and hopefully a few stories with us today!
